Soundgasm, Measured: 3,015 Links and 609 Uploaders

Soundgasm, Measured: What 4,112 Reddit Audio Links Point At

Two questions bring people to this page. One is "why will this link not play". The other is "I remember a voice and half a title, where is it now". Both are questions about one host, because that is where most of this genre's audio actually sits.

We took every audio link our importer resolved from 70,818 Reddit posts and counted what is behind it: which hosts the links name, which of those the importer can follow, what a soundgasm page is made of, how many uploaders are in there, how many recordings each one holds, and what the host prints on the page when you open it. Everything was measured on 1 November 2026 and every number below names what it was measured on.

The short version: 80.1 percent of the media rows point at soundgasm.net, that host is the only one of five the importer can resolve, all 3,015 resolved files are one m4a file apiece behind a 40-character hash, and the identity of a recording lives in a URL path that no search engine can index. Three of the twelve largest uploaders in our import now serve an empty listing page, and in two of those cases the individual recordings still play.

What a soundgasm link is made of

There are two addresses for every recording, and they behave differently.

The page address looks like this: https://soundgasm.net/u/mothinhaler/F4M-Your-Girlfriend-Doesnt-Care-Who-Hears-You. The handle comes first, the title second, and the title is squeezed into the path with brackets, quotes and punctuation removed.

The file address looks like this: https://media.soundgasm.net/sounds/99c25ec350337e2d707172f9c89ed2418f928b9b.m4a. A different subdomain, a 40-character hexadecimal name, and no trace of the handle or the title at all.

That split is the whole architecture, and it has consequences. The file carries no identity. The page carries all of it, but the page is not built to be found. We fetched a live recording page today and read its markup: 4,028 bytes, a <title> of soundgasm.net, zero og: or twitter: metadata tags, no <h1>, no <h2>. The recording's own title appears once, inside the player markup, in the same line as the play button.

The front page is smaller than the recording page. It answered 200 with 1,149 bytes: a logo, five links reading Home, Login, Signup and Contact, and the sentence "Welcome to soundgasm.net BETA!". We counted the form elements on it. There are none. No search box, no input field, nothing to type into. The login page is 1,521 bytes.

So the host is not a catalogue in any sense a search engine understands. It is a set of pages that answer if you already know the address, which is exactly the shape of the problem people bring to it.

Layer What it holds What it does not hold
Page URL handle and title, as dashes no year, no community, no format
Page markup player, title inside the player no title tag, no heading, no description
File URL one 40-character hash, m4a handle, title, upload date
Handle page every recording of one uploader no pagination, no search, no feed
Front page five links no index, no input field

If you want the surrounding picture first, where a recording physically lives covers the hosting decision from a creator's side, and the tag system explains the labels that these titles are built from.

The four numbers behind the catalogue

Everything below comes from one read of the production database behind this site, taken on 1 November 2026 between 05:00 and 05:30 in the morning, with no writes.

The import holds 70,818 posts from 26 communities, written by 8,541 authors between 22 July 2015 and 1 November 2026. For each post the importer tried to find the recording behind the link, and it wrote one media row per post: 4,112 rows, all 4,112 of them a distinct post.

Measurement Count Share of 4,112
Media rows 4,112 100 percent
Resolved to a playable file 3,015 73.3 percent
Link found, file not resolvable 868 21.1 percent
Post had no audio link at all 229 5.6 percent

The importer is not a hero and does not pretend to be. It made one attempt on 3,052 rows, two on 248 and three on 812, and it stopped. The whole media table is eight days old: the oldest row was written on 24 October at 21:50, the newest on 1 November at 04:34. That matters for reading anything below as a trend, and it is why this page makes no growth claim.

Two of those numbers need a warning attached. "Resolved" means the importer reached a file and read its size, not that the file will play in your browser in a year. "No audio link" means the post text did not contain a link in a shape the importer recognises, which includes plenty of posts where a human would find the recording in one click.

Where the links point

Five hosts appear in the media table. One of them is nearly the whole of it.

Host Media rows Share of rows with a host Rows the importer could resolve Rows it could not
soundgasm.net 3,294 85.0 percent 3,015 279
hotaudio.net 348 9.0 percent 0 348
audiochan.com 180 4.6 percent 0 180
whyp.it 55 1.4 percent 0 55
no host recorded 235 not counted 0 235

Read the last two columns carefully, because they do not say what they look like they say. The importer knows exactly one host's page format. On hotaudio.net it recorded hoster_protected on all 348 rows, and on audiochan.com and whyp.it it recorded hoster_unresolved on every row. Those are limits of this catalogue's resolver, not death certificates for 583 recordings. A hotaudio link that our importer cannot read may play perfectly well in your browser.

The soundgasm column is different, because the importer does read that format. Of 3,294 soundgasm rows, 279 failed even though the host is supported, which is 8.5 percent of that host's rows. Those 279 are the honest failures: the page was reachable by name but no audio file could be read from it.

Per community, the resolved share is stable: r/gonewildaudio 2,627 of 3,570 rows (73.6 percent), r/GoneWildAudioGay 155 of 200 (77.5 percent), r/GWASapphic 209 of 302 (69.2 percent). The host choice, not the community, decides whether a link can be read. If you want the community side of that map, the 26 audio subreddits, measured has it, and how to find erotic audio on Reddit covers the searching itself.

609 uploaders, and 268 of them contributed one recording

Every resolved page URL follows one pattern, /u/<handle>/<title>. We parsed all of them: 3,014 of 3,015 fit the pattern, and the single exception is an http:// address for a handle named NyaughtyMeow, which is the same page without the padlock.

Behind those 3,014 links sit 609 distinct handles. That is the real size of the uploader base in an eight-day window, and it is the number to hold on to when someone describes this scene as a crowd.

Recordings per handle Handles Share of 609
1 268 44.0 percent
2 to 5 207 34.0 percent
6 to 20 101 16.6 percent
more than 20 33 5.4 percent

Roughly nine out of ten handles have five recordings or fewer. The top of the distribution is where the volume is, and it is a short list:

Handle Files in our 8-day import Recording pages in our catalogue
LeyLeyVA 58 Fat-Bottomed Barista Lets You Worship Her Ass
lilostitchdonky 53 Mindbreaking an Adorable Fairy
RoteDisaster 49 FOOTAGE
BretonBrat 42 Making Lara Croft Your Insatiable Slut
DepravedDescent 42 Bubbly VTuber Is Actually a Clingy Girlfailure
mothinhaler 42 Your Girlfriend Does Not Care Who Hears You
BubblyPressure2650 39 Girlfailure Handcuffed
Daisy4Dayz 37 Glow in the Dark Peen
Namikoasmr 37 Your Caring Girlfriend Helps Out Her Lonely Classmate
WintersSilhouette 37 You Are Really Gonna Boss Me Around While I Clean
ManWrittenByWoman 36 252 recordings listed today, no creator page here yet
BotanicalSpring7 33 listing empty today, no creator page here yet

The two links in the last rows of that table are not mistakes in this article. They point at creator pages that exist today for two other handles, because a creator page on this site is built for a resolved author and not every handle has one. When we tried the obvious addresses for BubblyPressure2650 and BretonBrat, both answered 404. Building those two pages is work this catalogue has not done yet, and the table says so rather than hiding it.

One more detail from the file layer, because it explains why a dead link is so hard to replace. Across 3,015 resolved rows there are 2,987 distinct files, which means 28 files are shared between two posts, and no file appears more than twice. Reposts point at the same hash. A repost is not a copy, it is a second address for the same file, and if that file goes, both addresses go together.

The counter the page does print

Soundgasm prints a play count on every recording it lists. It is the only number on the page besides the title, and nobody seems to have added it up. We did, for the twelve largest uploaders in our import.

Twelve requests, two seconds apart, on 1 November 2026. Nine of the twelve answered with a list. Three answered with an empty page, and that is the next section.

Handle Recordings listed Printed plays, total Median plays Highest single recording
RoteDisaster 220 12,734,532 44,230 267,341
LeyLeyVA 233 5,584,025 19,376 234,566

BubblyPressure2650 96 1,086,004 7,386 82,954

Across those 1,285 recordings the page prints 35,514,499 plays, a median of 17,961 per recording and a mean of 27,638. Of the 1,285, 914 are over 10,000 plays and 172 are over 50,000. Exactly one prints zero. Sixteen print fewer than a thousand.

Set that against this catalogue's own numbers on the same day: 522 published recordings, 189,810 seconds of audio, which is 52.7 hours, and 1,944 plays in total across all of them. The comparison is not a scoreboard, because a play on soundgasm and a play here are counted by different software and one of them has been on the internet for a decade. It is a statement about where the listening happens. The recordings are there, the listeners are there, and the pages that hold them cannot be searched.

If you want to hear what this catalogue does hold, the five most played recordings are the shortest path in, the catalogue is the full list, and F4M audio explained covers the label that most of these titles carry.

Three of twelve big listings are empty, and the audio is not gone

This is the measurement we did not expect.

Three of the twelve handles answered the listing request with HTTP 200 and a 1,006-byte page. Not a 404, not an error page: the same logo, the same five links, and nothing else. No recordings, no play counters, no message. lilostitchdonky, BretonBrat and BotanicalSpring7, holding 53, 42 and 33 resolved files in our import respectively.

Then we checked whether the recordings themselves were gone. Two individual recording pages under those handles answered 200 with normal markup, and both media files answered 206 with a byte range of 17,698,817 and 28,641,154 bytes. The audio is alive. The door to it is not.

Two readings are consistent with that and we cannot choose between them from the outside. Either the listing page is broken for these accounts, or the accounts have been emptied of their index while the files stay reachable by exact address. Anyone who arrives at /u/lilostitchdonky today sees a blank page and concludes the recordings are gone.

Compare a real failure. A handle that does not exist answers 404 with 1,175 bytes. A media hash that does not exist answers 404 as well. So the host does produce 404s, and it produces this third thing too: a 200 with an empty page. Any check that only looks at status codes will call that blank page healthy.

Response Status Body What it means
Recording page, live 200 4,028 bytes, player markup the recording is reachable
Media file, live 206 Content-Range with total size the file exists and is served
Unknown handle 404 1,175 bytes this address never existed
Unknown hash 404 empty this file is gone
Emptied listing 200 1,006 bytes, five links the list is empty, the files may not be

The 50-hour outage the community wrote down

The clearest public record of how this host fails is in Reddit titles. Of 70,818 imported posts, 26 mention soundgasm in the title. Twenty are from 2026, six from 2025, and the first is from 1 September 2025: a creator announcing that they were moving their past soundgasm posts to r/audiogonewild.

In January 2026 the titles turn into a timeline. Three posts announce the host is down, and three announce it is back, and one of the first group carries 2,207 upvotes, which makes it the most-read status report in the set.

Date and time (UTC) Community Title Score
7 January, 21:31 r/GoneWildAudioGay Soundgasm is Down (Don't Panic) 735
8 January, 18:40 r/gonewildaudio Soundgasm Is Down So Mommy GF Uses You Instead 2,207
8 January, 21:49 r/gonewildaudio Soundgasm is down, still trying to make audios 209
9 January, 03:43 r/gonewildaudio Soundgasm's back on 45
9 January, 08:12 r/gonewildaudio Soundgasm is back, and you have been a Very Good Girl 48
9 January, 23:10 r/gonewildaudio Yay, Soundgasm is back and I am back too 39

From the first "down" to the last "back" is 49 hours and 39 minutes. The community did what communities do with a host outage: it kept posting, renamed the interruption, and turned the outage into a title convention. The recordings that were meant for that window exist under titles that mention the outage, which is a small accidental archive of the event.

The last entry in the set is the one that matters most for the search problem. On 13 July 2026, r/pillowtalkaudio carried a request titled Looking for "Talking you to sleep" by Voice-Of-Sin (Dead Soundgasm link). A listener remembered the title, remembered the handle, and still needed help, because the address they had no longer worked and nothing about the host offered a way back. That post has no upvotes and no comments in our import. It is the whole problem in one line.

What Google can see

The search side of this catalogue is measured every week, and this is the week ending 31 October 2026, taken from Search Console for the whole property.

The blog row has been zero for 39 weeks in a row, and that is why this page is built out of measurements rather than advice. If you are looking for prose about the genre, what is erotic audio covers the basics and the differences between erotic audio and adult ASMR covers the labels. This page exists to answer a name.

And names are exactly what the query side shows. Of 377 queries with any impression in the week, 112 contain the word soundgasm, carrying 253 impressions and 13 clicks. Then we matched the 609 handles in our import against those queries: 72 of the 609 are searched by name, across 106 distinct queries, with 362 impressions, 9 clicks and a median position of 7.0.

Query Impressions Position What it is
soundgasm mothinhaler 12 5.0 handle with 42 files in our import
soundgasm cosmicvice 11 4.6 handle with 24 files
soundgasm lamiacy 9 7.7 handle with 14 files
nocturnalonyx soundgasm 8 4.4 handle with 4 files
soundgasm italian 6 5.7 language, not a handle
arachnya soundgasm 5 5.4 handle with 31 files
soundgasm praise kink 4 9.3 a tag used as a qualifier
soundgasm plap 4 5.5 a tag used as a qualifier

Two shapes appear in that table and they are not the same intent. "soundgasm mothinhaler" is someone who knows the uploader and wants the page. "soundgasm praise kink" is someone using the host as a filter, the way people type a tube site's name before a category. The first group is served badly by an unindexable page. The second group is served badly by a host with no search field at all.

The same split shows in the biggest single query of the week, gonewildaudiogay at 199 impressions and position 3.8, and in lilostitchdonky at 56 impressions and position 7.9. One is a community name, the other is a handle, and both are people looking for a place rather than a phrase.

How to find a recording again

Six steps, in the order that works.

First, the handle. If you have any part of the name, try https://soundgasm.net/u/<handle> directly in the address bar. The path preserves the case the uploader chose, so Lilostitchdonky and lilostitchdonky are worth trying both ways. A handle page lists everything that handle still lists, with play counts, and nothing else on the internet does that.

Second, the title. If you remember words but not the name, rebuild the path. The rule is mechanical: take the title, drop the square brackets around tags, drop quotes and apostrophes, drop emoji, and turn every run of other characters into a single dash. We tested that rule against the 91 recordings on one handle and it reproduced 81 of 91 addresses exactly. The exceptions tell you what to watch for: titles carrying emoji lose the emoji without leaving a dash, two recordings with the same title get a numeric suffix like -1, and asterisks are dropped rather than dashed, so "Sh*t" becomes "Sht". The median address is 61 characters and the longest we measured is 133.

Third, the file. If you have the file, you have a hash and nothing else. media.soundgasm.net/sounds/<hash>.m4a will not lead you back to a title, a handle or a date. This is the one case where the file layer is useless as a clue.

Fourth, the mirror. This catalogue keeps a page for every resolved link it can render, with the title, the community, the score, the comment count and a player that works when the original does not. That is what the r/gonewildaudio hub and the pages above are for, and the individual pages are linked from the tables above. When the original file is gone, the page is often all that is left of it.

Fifth, the community. Every mirror page names the subreddit it came from, and every subreddit has a tag hub: asmr, joi, guided masturbation, bdsm, F4M and M4F are the six with the most recordings behind them here. The community record for the host itself is the soundgasm tag, which collects the posts that mention it, including the outage threads.

Sixth, the request. The pillowtalkaudio thread above is the last resort and the one that works when everything else fails: describe the voice, the title fragment and the community, and let someone who downloaded it answer. It is also the only step that leaves a public record for the next person.

How to test a link in ten seconds

You do not need a browser for this. One request tells you almost everything.

Ask for a single byte of the media file: curl -I -H "Range: bytes=0-0" <file url>. A live file answers 206 and its Content-Range header carries the total size, so bytes 0-0/10822357 means the file exists and is 10.8 MB. We did that for twelve random files from the media table today: twelve of twelve answered 206, all with content-type: audio/x-m4a, with sizes between 10.32 MB and 34.78 MB and a median of 22.98 MB.

A dead hash answers 404. A dead handle page answers 404 with a 1,175-byte body.

The third case is the one that catches people. A page can answer 200 with 1,006 bytes and no content, which is what three of our twelve listing requests returned. Status code 200 is not evidence that anything is there. The body size is the tell: a real listing page is tens of kilobytes, an empty one is about one.

If you would rather not use a terminal, the same rule works visually. Open the page, look for a play button and a duration. If neither appears, the recording is not reachable, whatever the address bar says.

What this measurement cannot tell you

Six limits, in order of how much they would change the picture.

The window is eight days. The media table was written between 24 October and 1 November 2026, so nothing here is a trend, and the 609 handles are the handles active in that window, not every handle on the host. A recording uploaded in 2019 will not appear in any table above unless someone reposted it recently.

The resolver knows one host well. 583 rows on hotaudio.net, audiochan.com and whyp.it were never resolved because the importer does not read those formats. Their absence from the counts is a statement about our tooling, not about those recordings.

The play counter is not ours. Values like 930,174 come from the number soundgasm prints on the page. We did not verify what it counts, whether it deduplicates a listener, or whether it survives an outage. It is quoted as printed, nothing more.

An empty listing has no explanation attached. Three of twelve big handles served an empty page while their individual recordings still answered. We can describe that precisely and we cannot explain it, so the article does not.

Score is distribution, not quality. Where a post's Reddit score appears above, it is the net upvote count at import time. It measures how far a post travelled inside one feed.

Coverage is not completeness. Our import holds 42 of the 91 recordings that mothinhaler currently lists, and 36 of the 252 on ManWrittenByWoman. The mirror is a sample of a window, not a copy of the host. Anyone who tells you they have the whole catalogue is describing something they have not checked.

Where the audio is, while it is there

The practical summary is short. The recordings mostly sit on one host that has no search, no indexable titles and one identity per recording, and that identity is a handle plus a title squeezed into a URL. When the address breaks, the file usually survives, and the only way back is through the handle, a rebuilt title, or a mirror that kept a copy of the page.

This catalogue keeps that mirror, 2,946 recording pages as of this morning, against 3,015 resolved links in the media table. The pages carry the title, the community, the score and a player, and the ones in the tables above are a fair sample of what is in there. If you want the genre rather than the plumbing, best erotic audio sites in 2026 and where to find free erotic audio safely are the two pages that place this host next to the alternatives, and how to listen to erotic audio covers the listening setup.

For creators reading this: the lesson is not "use a better host", it is that the handle is the only durable thing you own on a page host, and that a listing page can be empty while your files still play. If you publish on a host like this one and want the recordings to stay findable, make sure the page exists somewhere you control. The creator page setup and the help pages cover how that works here.
